Logos are crucial in marketing as they are the graphical representation of the brand. A logo is the unique face of your business which your followers will come to recognize as the brand identity, this can affect how trustworthy and professional a brand appears. The aim of the logo is to convey information which can be easily remembered; PonyoSquid is an apparel brand specializing in visible design targeted at a young, edgy and daring audience, therefore the design must be striking.
These are some initial drawings of how the logo may look.
As PonyoSquid is a long name it required abbreviation to not appear as clumsy or underdeveloped; initial bold fonts were sampled with the aim of merging the letters.
With further tailoring the final squid took shape, with constant follower feedback the final squidoodle was tweaked and finalized.
